Data Engineer (Google Cloud / BigQuery)

For the project that we are working on with our partner, we are looking for Data Engineer (Google Cloud / BigQuery).

 

Your duties will include: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale data warehouses and data models.
  • Build and optimize scalable ELT pipelines processing large volumes of data.
  • Design and develop solutions leveraging Google BigQuery.
  • Optimize data processing performance and query costs.
  • Orchestrate data workflows using Apache Airflow.
  • Collaborate closely with analysts, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Leverage modern AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

 

Requirements that must be met:

  • Proven experience in designing, building, and developing data warehouses, including strong knowledge of data modeling concepts.

  • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, including: Table partitioning,  Data clustering, Query and cost optimization

  • Strong SQL expertise, including optimization of complex analytical queries.

  • Experience designing and building scalable, high-performance ELT processes.

  • Practical experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.

  • Experience working with Claude Code and other AI coding assistants as part of the software development lifecycle.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Very good English and Polish

 

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures.

  • Experience with CI/CD processes for data platforms.

  • Python programming skills for data processing and automation.

  • Experience working in Agile environments.
